“Thompson has small town beauty and quaintness, within an hour’s drive to major cities such as Boston, Providence and Hartford. It has a really nice sense of community. We all know each other. I was born in Thompson and went to high school here. Then I moved away for 20 years. One of the reasons I moved back was I thought it was a nice place to raise my kids. I had been in the insurance business my entire career. When I came back here, I started knocking on doors. I was also interested in supporting the town and served on the Thompson Board of Finance for six years while simultaneously growing and building my business locally. Now, I have thousands of clients and I have three brokers working for me. We help people with their Medicare plans, people under 65 with their health insurance, and businesses with group health, life and disability.  In addition to the health insurance benefits, we also offer auto, homeowners’, commercial insurance, and income planning.

I was one of the founding partners of the Thompson Business Association and we are still a member. Rooney Insurance Agency is a member of the NECT Chamber of Commerce as well.  My team and I attend local networking events so we can continue to build and grow.  Being that my team of licensed brokers are from Thompson and surrounding towns, it is nice to see that their peers are also out and about at these networking events. We all help each other grow.
